I also collected a few empty shells discarded by them and brought them along... when I unpacked them, I was shocked when one of the shells moved! There was a live hermit crab inside! I panicked! I didn't know how long it would be able to survive without sea water. I tried keeping it in ordinary water till I figured out what to do with it, but it became very still, so I took it out. I found out that there was a marine aquarium at Shringar complex (near your office), so I took it there as soon as I could. I hope the poor crab was comfortable among the anemones and other sea creatures in the marine aquarium. I wonder if it is still there.... I have seen them at Malpe beach in a variety of shells. May I know where this shot was taken? I had recently been to some mangroves near Mangalore and I had a gr8 time birding.
