Flowering Trees - Part 2
Jan 27th, 2009 by Karthik
It gave me great pleasure in bringing Flowering Trees - Part I to all of you. This post received an overwhelming response. In the process I also realised that there were more species that could be written about. So, here it is : Flowering Trees - Part II. Now the total number of species covered is in excess of 50. The consolidated pdf file containing all the species covered in Part I & II is available for download. An attempt has also been made to plot some of these species on a map which can be viewed here. This whole process has been a learning experience for me. Hope you find it useful. This effort would be worth it if it changes our perspective of these trees that enliven our environs without expecting anything in return.

Enjoyed the second part as much as the first! It’s good to have this as a reference. Thank you.

Hi karthik
Your site was a long awaited one for me. My name is Perrin De Silva and I am from Sri Lanka. I belong to an association called the “Field Ornithology Group Of Sri Lanka” the Head of this organisation is Prof: Sarath Kotagama. I love birds, but I long to learn about trees and I have surched the internet for such a site, and by accident came across yours . your site is truely fantastic.
Thanks for such an effort.
